We are the seven Flake sisters! We come from a BIG Mormon family (we also have 4 brothers!), our ages spanning 17 years. The older ones of us grew up in the eastern United States in West Virginia, while the younger few grew up in the West, in Idaho. Our parents taught us to value (among other things) faith, family, goodness, uplifting music, and - with a family that size - living cheaply! Though we all have the same parents, our personalities, strengths, and interests are very different. After growing up sharing rooms, hand-me-downs, late-night talks, friends, hard times, fights, and encouragement, the seven of us are now spread across the country and beyond. We live in Utah, Idaho, West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Nevada and Ecuador! We are coming together with this blog to share some of what we've learned as seven women with different lives, talents, struggles, and experiences. We hope others can learn from us too, even if we are just a bunch of Flakes!
